General Eye Exam
Eye examinations are essential procedures that evaluate your capacity to clearly view objects at various distances. These tests are critical tools to assess your visual acuity and to ascertain if there is a need for corrective measures, such as glasses or contact lenses, to improve your eyesight. Through a series of detailed assessments, I can determine the precise prescription to enhance your ability to see near and far, ensuring that your vision supports your daily activities effectively.

Eye examinations assess the clarity of your vision, evaluating your ability to view objects at both close and far distances. They are also instrumental in identifying severe eye conditions such as glaucoma and keratoconus. It is advised to undergo an eye test at a minimum interval of every two years.
The Silent Guardians of Your Eye Health
Many eye diseases start silently, without symptoms. Regular eye exams are your first line of defense—catching problems early when they're most treatable. It's not just about sharp vision; it's about a lifetime of seeing clearly.
What does a comprehensive eye test include?
Thorough examinations of your eyesight and overall eye health are more extensive than standard check-ups, which is why they require more time. Typically, a complete evaluation can last approximately an hour or more. Such an in-depth assessment encompasses:

1. Assessing any eye wear and lens care systems you currently use.
Evaluating the effectiveness of your existing eyewear, including glasses or contact lenses, and reviewing your maintenance practices to ensure optimal lens care and hygiene.

2. Measuring your vision as well as the ability of your eye to focus correctly.
Assessing the clarity of your sight and the proficiency with which your eyes can achieve proper focus.

3. Check overall eye health
Examining the general health of your eyes using advanced technology, which aids in identifying conditions such as dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, keratoconus, and cataracts.

4. Results
As your optometrist, I will analyse your eye exam results to enhance your vision and adjust your lens prescription if necessary. I'll also screen for early signs of eye diseases, ensuring you receive prompt and effective treatment.
